Vancouver based producer/engineer/mixer Jeff Dawson developed and produced the breakthrough debut album “Bad Day” by songwriter Daniel Powter (Warner). After working on Daniel’s songs and helping develop the project’s sound over 3 years, Warner Bros Chairman/CEO Tom Whalley took one listen and knew he had something extraordinary. I’m hoping to update my bio very soon. I think it’s probably over a year old and in some serious need of change!
As for my current events…The Kelly Rowland song I did “Unity” is out and so far is getting some nice reviews. Good luck Kelly!
I’ve finished 4 songs with JD Fortune and they are (I must say) killer!! I’m really looking forward to his fans hearing this and finishing the album with him.
As for what’s next…Well, I’ll be heading into the studio again with Fully Loaded again next week to record a couple of songs we wrote together.
Also going to be heading off to Calgary for the Juno’s.

Fables Last Stand was a success….Man can those Newcastle-ites drink beer! Unbelievable.
I will finally be mixing my share of Birds Of Wales songs the 21st and 22 of This month.
Following that will be four songs with JD Fortune (INXS). Looking forward to that one.

Updates January 2008

I’ve updated my production reel. There are a few more things I’d like to add but need to wait for releases, so stay tuned!
Mike Fraser has mixed four of the Birds Of Wales songs. I’ll be doing four others and Mike Gilles will be doing the last four.
Natalie Janz is all done and it turned out great. She’s off to France to finish the rest of her album…I can’t wait to hear it.
I’ll be doing some writing later this week with a top secret artist (again….stay tuned).
February 5th I start with London England’s Fable Last Stand. That’s all for now.

The New Year Is Here….

Birds Of Wales album is done and awaiting mix.
State Of Shock are out touring and have been nominated for three Canadian Radio Awards.
The re-release of Kelly Rowlands “Ms. Kelly” album will be out January featuring the song I produced for her.
I’ll be producing a new song for Vancouver’s Splitting Adam.
Starting January 9th I’ll be producing 4 songs for Germany’s Natalie Janz at Mushroom Studios.

Start an album with Birds Of Wales this Friday (November 15).
Super great and cool band from Toronto.
I’ll be taking a break a week or so in to quickly do another killer song with Beyond The Fall (formerly Superbeing). Always a treat working with these guys.
Then……back at it with Birds Of Wales.

Lots going on.
The Kelly Rowland single is done and sounds great!
I’ve finished some more songs with Fully Loaded that’ll be mixed by Fraze in early September.
Starting another track for Dasha.
The Superbeing songs turned out great.
State of Shock is #20 on the Canadian Hot 100 and we a currently shopping them in the US.

State Of Shocks “Money Honey” has reached #38 this week on The Canadian Billboard Hot 100.
